What is it?

A practical, no-fluff public speaking training that equips you with best practices, templates and strategies needed to establish and market yourself as a qualified speaker.

No prior speaking experience required.

Our speaker bootcamp is purposely designed for women, people of colour and LGBTQA+ professionals.

Ideally, you have 3+ years of work experience in the tech industry and have a compelling story to share or something insightful to teach.

Bootcamp agenda

Breakfast starts at 8:30am on both days

Day 1

Mindfulness Class
Tackling imposter syndrome, the elephant in the room, fear of speaking, and more.

Storytelling Class
Structuring your talk, defining your core message and supporting points, and more.

Design Class
Crafting your slide deck, sourcing impactful imagery, emoting feelings through fonts, and more.

Delivery Class
Managing your voice, appearance, hand motions, types of talks — panels, moderating, keynotes, and more.

Day 2

Branding Class
Writing your speaker bio, applying for speaking opportunities, setting rates, best practices for self-promotion, and more.

Practice Class
Dedicated time with your coach to practice what you’ve learned and prepare for your talk.

Mini Conference
Present a 5-7 minute keynote utilizing everything you’ve learned over the weekend.

Networking Mixer
Celebrate the conclusion of our speaker bootcamp with all the students, teachers, coaches, and community partners.
